JoBell, in her native habitat. i suppose that must be George snoozing in the shotgun, though his mustache appears to be in remission. i believe this is his first and only appearance in the Monday Funnies.

his character just didn't have much staying power.

the mystery twins, exploring the interior of the food parade building. the room with the exposed beams was littered with pigeon corpses and newspapers; dozens of copies of the same edition, bearing the headline "A Serial Killer in Our Midst?"

the first time i set foot in that building, i startled a hobo who was reclining on a couch in a room 10 inches deep in garbage. the pigeon serial killer room was just down the hall.

i really should have kept a better copy of this for myself... i have a bad habit of giving away the best prints and keeping the duds, and this is a sterling example of a dud. this comic was printed on 80 year old blueprints, found in the (no longer there) Providence Cold Storage building, located just behind the (also no longer there) Silver Top Diner.

in story continuity, this installment takes place just before the October 06 episode; the Mystery Twins exploring the exterior of the Food Parade building before venturing inside to find the dog's body
